Honeymoon Packages

Private holiday planning shaped around preferred dates, pace, budget and experiences, with the final inclusions confirmed before booking.

How honeymoon planning works

A honeymoon is a holiday with more riding on it than most, and it is usually planned in the busiest weeks of a couple's life. Orbitz Holidays takes the research off the table. The conversation starts with the dates, the budget range, and what the two of you actually want the trip to feel like: slow and private, active and varied, or somewhere in between.

From that brief, one or two destinations are suggested with a note on why each fits, what the weather will be doing in those weeks, and how long the journey from your home city will take. Couples who already know where they want to go move straight to the itinerary stage.

The itinerary is drafted around a comfortable pace. Arrival days are kept light, longer transfers are placed mid-trip rather than on the first morning, and at least one day is left open. The draft is discussed and adjusted before anything is booked.

Choosing the right destination and season

Every destination page on this site shows month-by-month seasonality, so the shortlist can be checked against your wedding date rather than an idealised brochure month. Where the dates fall in a destination's shoulder or off season, that is said plainly, along with what it means in practice and which alternatives are at their best in the same weeks.

Domestic and international honeymoons are planned through the same process. For international trips, entry requirements are checked for both travellers as part of the proposal.

What is confirmed before booking

The proposal lists the exact hotels or resorts and room categories, the board basis, the transfers included, and any experiences that form part of the plan. Prices on the destination pages are starting figures for a standard itinerary; the honeymoon proposal replaces them with a costed plan for your dates and choices.

Supplier terms for changes and cancellations are stated against each element. If a particular property or experience cannot be confirmed for your dates, the proposal says so and offers the nearest alternative rather than leaving it to chance.

The structure is the same, but the pace, the accommodation choices and the level of privacy are weighted differently. Arrival days are kept light, room categories and locations are chosen for the couple rather than for a group, and open time is built in deliberately.
